Mark Donka Outpaces Major Parties in Social Media
With Social Media guru Scott Walter taking over the helm as campaign manager for Mark Donka, the revamped approach is paying big dividends early. After only two months of implementing the new strategy the @markdonka twitter feed has more Klout (51), than any of the major parties including @vtgop, @vtdems or vtlp.org. To boot, he also has more klout than most of the leaders in those groups who have had accounts for years. Klout is a score between 0-100 that indicates your overall influence.
Five Red State Alliance Minutes with Mr. Walter.
RSA: Did Social Media help you win the primary?
SW: It played a significant role. We have the necessary core applications in place now that help attract major donors and get our message out to democrats, independents as well the conservative base. The are a lot of folks who don't use Social Media so understanding that SM is only one branch of the marketing machine is important. More
Letters to the Editor
In just a few weeks Vermonters will have the chance to exercise one of our most precious freedoms. On November 4th citizens have an opportunity to vote for old or new representation to our legislative and executive bodies.
A great many informed voters in Vermont understand that the Vermont State government and the United States government are headed in a bad direction. It is almost a daily occurrence nationwide, we hear about how multi-millionaire career politicians are out of touch with the concerns of the average citizen. The disconnect between those running the government and those paying for it continues to grow. The unalienable rights enshrined in our Vermont Constitution and U.S. Constitution continue to be eroded by politicians who are bought and paid for by lobbying groups made up of corporations, unions, non profits and an assortment of special interest groups. Our national debt now stands at $17.5 trillion dollars and growing. Yet for some reason we the people of Vermont keep sending the same wealthy career politicians back to Montpelier and Washington DC every election season. This year could be the year we finally change this. Vermonters have an opportunity to elect an outstanding candidate for Congress who is not a career politician. His name is Mark Donka. Mark is not a multi millionaire. He is a career police officer and an emergency medical technician. He is a person who works every day ensuring the public’s safety. Mark is a working Vermonter who can relate to the struggles his fellow citizens are facing in living within a budget. He knows that Vermonters don’t have a debt ceiling they can keep raising year after year and not have it tear their families apart. Unlike his opponent, Peter Welch, Mark will take our massive national debt seriously and work to cut wasteful government spending. Unlike his opponent he will take his oath to the Constitution seriously and defend your Constitutional rights. On November 4th, please go to the polls and vote for Mark Donka.
